A divorce in Maryland may be granted on one of the following grounds:

  1. Adultery
  2. Cruelty/Excessively Vicious Conduct
  3. Desertion
  4. Constructive Desertion
  5. Separation exceeding 12 months in duration.
  6. Insanity
  7. Conviction of a felony or misdemeanor
