A graduate of Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law, Ms. Satin has been practicing law in Maryland since 1991, concentrating in the areas of criminal defense and family law.  Ms. Satin opened her own practice, following Mr. Crawford’s death, and then partnered with Bill Planta.

Ms. Satin is admitted to practice in all State Courts of Maryland, U.S. District Courts for the District of Maryland, and the United States Supreme Court.

Ms. Satin is a certified Best Interest Attorney for children in contested custody cases. Ms. Satin is trained in practicing Collaborative Law.

Ms. Satin is active in the Montgomery County Bar Association, the Women’s Bar Association of Montgomery County and the Montgomery County Sobeloff Society. Ms. Satin serves as the Secretary of the Women’s Bar Association of Montgomery County. Ms. Satin was Co-Chair of the Criminal Law Section of the Montgomery County Bar Association, and was awarded Section of the Year in 2000.

Ms. Satin has been devoted for six years to the annual Preparing for Success Program of the Montgomery County Women’s Bar Foundation, which is geared towards empowering high school girls as they enter college, the workforce or both.
